          CHOO Keng Kwang

     He was born on 3 June 1931 in Singapore, the only son of a trader.

     Schooled at Catholic High School.

     Studied painting at Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts. Graduated in 1953 at the age of 21.

     Married NAH Chong Ngian, and have five children - 3 daughters & 2 sons

     Taught at Sin Hua School.

     Became Head of the Art Education Department at the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts.

     Started on-the-spot painting in his 30s.

     Awarded the Public Service Medal in 1976.
